However, the US has always been a bit of an anomaly in our SMS pricing; we’ve always charged to receive messages on our SMS-enabled numbers (DIDs). We’ve never charged for inbound SMS anywhere else in the world – but due to the nature of the US SMS market, we didn’t have much choice.
Today, that changes.
From 25th July 2018, inbound SMS to US DIDs is now completely free – no more per message fees. We’ve also cut our outbound SMS charges to the US by 50%*.
